Privacy Policy
This policy explains the main categories of information Strivt may process when you visit the website or use its learning features, and how service providers and advertising technologies may be involved.
1. Information Strivt processes
Depending on which features you use, Strivt may process account and profile details you provide, such as a username, email address, avatar or profile preferences; courses and learning materials you create or save; flashcards, answers, learning progress, XP and other activity associated with your account; and posts or profile details you choose to share with other users.
Like most websites, Strivt and its hosting or security providers may also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as request data, IP addresses, browser or device information, session identifiers and error diagnostics.
If you purchase a subscription or make a payment, payment and transaction information is processed to complete and manage the transaction. Payment providers may process payment details under their own privacy notices.
2. How information is used
Information is used to operate and secure Strivt; authenticate users; save courses, flashcards and progress; provide social, community and competitive features; manage subscriptions and purchases; prevent fraud or abuse; diagnose technical problems; and respond to support or feedback requests.
Information shown on public profiles, leaderboards or shared learning content depends on the feature and the visibility choices available to you. Do not publish information you do not want other users to see.
3. Service providers
Strivt uses third-party services to operate parts of the product. These may include Supabase for authentication, data storage and backend services, Stripe for payment processing, Cloudflare for hosting and delivery, and Google when Google advertising services are enabled. These providers process information as needed to provide their services and may have separate privacy policies.
4. Google AdSense, cookies and advertising
Strivt may display Google AdSense advertisements on eligible content pages. Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to collect information as a result of ad serving, measure advertising performance, prevent invalid traffic and, where permitted, personalize ads.
Read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services for more detail. You can manage Google ad personalization through Google Ads Settings.
Strivt also uses browser storage and similar technologies where needed for essential sessions, saved preferences, security or product functionality. Blocking all storage may prevent some features from working correctly.
5. Consent and regional privacy choices
Where required, advertising cookies and personalized advertising must be handled according to applicable consent requirements. Google requires publishers serving personalized ads in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland to use a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Strivt's AdSense configuration must satisfy those requirements before personalized advertising is enabled for affected visitors.
If an advertising consent message is presented, use its controls to make or update your choices. You can also use browser privacy controls and Google Ads Settings. Consent and advertising choices may affect which ads can be shown.
6. Sharing, storage and retention
Strivt shares information with service providers where needed to run the service, with other users when you use public or shared features, and when disclosure is necessary to protect the service or meet a legal obligation.
Information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations. Specific retention may depend on the type of record and the provider involved.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can review the profile and privacy controls made available in Strivt and use the in-product support or feedback route for privacy-related requests. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
You may also clear cookies or local storage in your browser, although doing so can sign you out or reset saved preferences.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Strivt's features, service providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top indicates the latest revision. Please review this page periodically.
